IEC 61400-11: Wind turbines – Acoustic noise measurement
The sound measurement method according to IEC 61400-11 describes the measurement of sound emission for wind turbines. The measuring microphone must be located at a sufficient distance from the wind turbine so that the turbine can be considered as a point sound source. In addition to the noise data, the meteorological data and the relevant operating data of the turbine are measured.
The evaluation of the measurement data for sound conduction measurement can be easily performed using imc WAVE and imc FAMOS. With the imc CRONOSflex measurement system family, however, non-acoustic data can also be recorded conveniently and efficiently - for example:
- Plant-relevant data as additional analog inputs or via CAN bus or MODBUS
- Wind speeds and wind directions
- Air pressure, air temperature and air humidity
- The emitted active power of the wind turbine
- Various other control and assessment data
- Extraneous noise, rain etc.
The uniform and simultaneous recording and storage of all data decisively facilitates the subsequent evaluation process. This allows later detailed investigations in case of problems under certain conditions. A particular advantage is that all data is available synchronously and in a uniform format on one system. A final result in the form of various reports can then be created easily and without further integration efforts.
